Is Kingdom Healthshare Insurance

NO.  It is a self funded, religious based health plan.

Is KHS ACA compliant.

KHS Plans are waivered under ACA.  So the member would have no tax penalty.

How long has KHS been in business?

KHS has been in business for over 1 year but is part of Anabaptist which has been around for over 60 years.  

Financial Stability HS

KHS is regulated by CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) a division of HHS.  KHS is a 503c non-profit and regulated by the IRS and State Attorney Generals.  KHS is subject to annual audit.

KHS deposits a portion of every members payment to an Escrow Account for payment of claims.

How does KHS feel about Marijuana

At this time Marijuana does not affect a members ability to obtain KHS, nor does it affect any claims, unless claims involves the commission of a crime such as driving while under the influence.

Does KHS require Social Security Numbers.

NO.  Social Security Numbers are not required.

Who is an ideal customers?

What if the doctor or hospital does not accept Kingdom HealthShare?

  • Always reference PHCS Network when making an appointment or speaking with a doctor.  Check to see if your provider is in-network: https://www.multiplan.com/
  • If your provider is not listed, there is a form on their website you can submit to nominate your doctor to be added to the network.
  • The member can also ask the provider if they would like to be contracted with PHCS Network.

How are Mammogram and Colonoscopy over age 50 covered?

  

The mammogram is covered under preventative services on both the Classic and Complete Programs. The colonoscopy is covered under preventative services on the Complete program. The Classic program allows for Colorectal Cancer Stool Test Screening under the preventative services.
